What vehicles do you currently offer?
We currently provide the Toyota Alphard Generation 4 (Hybrid 4WD) and Toyota Alphard Generation 3, both known for their spacious cabins, comfort, and reliability across Hokkaido’s roads and seasons. We’re expanding our fleet, so check back for new models soon.
How many passengers and how much luggage can the Alphard fit?
The Alphard comfortably seats up to 7 passengers. Luggage space depends on how many passengers are traveling — for example, with 4-5 passengers you can typically fit 3-4 large suitcases, while with the full 6-7 passenger seating, trunk space is more limited (around 1 large suitcase plus a couple of carry-ons). We’re happy to help you plan based on your group size.
How do I make a reservation?
You can book directly through our website by selecting your dates, vehicle, and pickup details. Once submitted, our team will confirm your reservation and contact you with any further details if needed.
Do I need to create an account to book?
Simply fill in your booking details on our website — no complicated sign-up required. If you have any questions during the process, feel free to email us at hokkaidochitosecr@gmail.com
Insurance & Protection
Is insurance included in the rental price?
Yes, standard third-party liability insurance is included with every rental. However, in the event of an accident, you would be responsible for certain deductibles and fees unless you choose one of our optional protection packages.
What is the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?
The CDW is an optional add-on (¥3,300 per 24 hours) that reduces your damage deductibles to ¥0. Please note it does not cover towing fees or tire punctures.
What is the Non-Operation Charge (NOC)?
If the vehicle is damaged and needs repair or cleaning, an NOC applies to compensate for the time the vehicle is out of service — this applies even if you weren’t at fault. We also offer a Full Protection Package that waives both deductibles and the NOC entirely.
Child Seats & Safety
Are child seats required in Japan?
Yes. Under Japan’s Road Traffic Act, child restraint systems are mandatory for all children under 6 years old.
Do your vehicles support child seats?
Yes, the Alphard is equipped with ISOFIX anchors and top tether mounts on the second-row captain’s chairs and outer third-row seats, making it easy to install infant, toddler, or booster seats safely.
Can I request a child seat for my rental?
Yes, you can select your child seat preference during the website booking process, or let us know the age and weight of your child so we can prepare the right seat type for your trip.

We’re based at 8-9-8 Aoba, Chitose-shi, Hokkaido 066-0015, Japan, conveniently close to New Chitose Airport.

Can I modify or cancel my booking after it's confirmed?
Please contact us as soon as possible via email if you need to modify or cancel your reservation, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request based on our cancellation policy.
Getting Gas
Which Gas should I choose?
When fueling up at a Japanese gas station (whether self-service or full-service), look for the color-coded system:
レギュラー (Regular): Red nozzle/signs. This is exactly what you need.
ハイオク (High Octane / Premium): Yellow nozzle/signs. (Not needed; using this won’t give you extra performance or benefits).
軽油 (Diesel): Green nozzle/signs. (Do not use this under any circumstances).
If you are using a self-service station (Self / セルフ), just touch the Red button or screen option labeled レギュラー to start your selection.
*** IMPORTANT*** Please double check you chose is correct, before paying. Adding any other types gas will damage the car engine. You will be liable for any damages.
Also, In Japan there are self-service (セルフ) and full service. This is the traditional style where you don’t have to step out of your vehicle. The staff handles everything.
